SUTARNO, Lolita It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lolita Guzman Sutarno on September 11, 2017 at Extendicare Starwood. Lolita is survived by Robert, her devoted husband of 52 years. She was born in the Philippines on April 12, 1930 along with her twin sister Belen (deceased). She is survived by sisters Aurora and Ruby (Alfredo) and predeceased by brother Romy, and sisters Erlinda, and Aleli. She was mother to two children Yanti (Hubert), and Chris (Donna); grandmother to Gabriella and Jackson; and aunt/grandaunt to numerous nephews and nieces both in Canada and the Philippines. After immigrating to Canada in 1963, Lolita spent the majority of her working life at the Civic Hospital and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Visitation is on Friday, September 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa). Funeral Service is on Saturday, September 16 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Church (2340 Baseline Rd., Ottawa). Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. A reception will be hosted on site afterwards. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Starwood for the excellent care over the past 4 years.
