Daughter of the late Richard Lawrence Barrett and the late Mary Jane McCluskey and wife of the late James Edward Henneberry. Cherished mother to Chris (Sandra), Shaun (Anita), Jamie (Janice), Stephen (Melissa), Mary Jane, Beth (Mike), Rose Marie (Julian), Bart (Kim) and Joe (Rachel). Loving grandmother to 18 and great-grandmother
to 7. Dear sister to Gregory (Erina). Predeceased by her sister Veronica (Walter) and brothers : Richard (late Marion) and Donald (Shirley). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Joan dedicated her life and energy to family, friends and in her later years to the building of an educational facility for the Indian Mission of the Diocese of Jam Shedpur Jarkhand, India. Despite the impact of numerous and very serious medical issues, she continued to display extraordinary strength and vitality. She travelled to India and worked at the Indian Mission for three months. She travelled with friends to Europe and visited her family from Halifax to Victoria and many places in- between. Her approach to life was filled with joy, enormous stamina and strong faith. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 47 Denise-Friend, Gatineau (Aylmer), on Sunday, February 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 25 at 11 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 160 Principale, Gatineau (Aylmer). In memoriam, contributions can be made to the Indian School Mission, by contacting, or send donations to a local cancer foundation.
