MAENNLING, Melinda (Lindy) Gay
Born in London, England 31 May 1947 to Harry Richard Oscar and Kathleen Margaret Maennling. Died peacefully at the Ottawa Grace Manor on Sunday, February 10th. Cherished sister to Nicolas and Rodney. Predeceased by sister Juliet Ann Hutchings (2012). Sadly missed and loved by brother-in- law Robert Hutchings, sisters-in-law Jeanie Maennling and Norma Jackson, nieces and nephews Stephen (Christine), Kim (Clyde), Cathie (Trevor), Roxanne (Peter), Stuart, Matthew (Shelley), BJ (Ross), Lisa, Jason (Elyza) and Zoe, and all of their children. Treasured by her dear friend Shannon and all her many other friends. Lindy worked as a hairdresser, a fashion model for Morgans and for most of her career at the St. John Ambulance. Lindy was the recipient of the St. John Ambulance Serving Sister Award, presented to her by the Governor General of Canada. Sincere thanks to all the staff members of the Ottawa Grace Manor and the Royal Ottawa Place who cared so wonderfully for Lindy over these many years. A celebration of her life is to be held at the Pinecrest Cemetery on Saturday, February 16th between 2 and 4 pm. Donations to the , Ottawa Chapter. Online condolences may be made at
