DESJARDINS, Rolande
(née Diotte)
Peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 84 years of age. Maman has gone to find her loved ones; her husband the late Lionel Desjardins, her dearest daughter the late Monique St-Jean and her loving son the late Michel Desjardins. She leaves behind her loving family: Daughter Louise (Charles Mainville) and children Nathalie, Josée and Geneviève, her son Denis (Diane) and his sons' Patrick and Sylvain, her daughter Lynne (Gilles Carrière) and children Zachary and Xavier, her son André (Tammy) and children Tyler, Justin and Cody, her son- in-law Michel St-Jean (Winnipeg) and sons Daniel, Éric and Marc and her daughter-in-law Marina (Edmonton) and children Stéphane, Christian and Jourdan, as well as eight great- grandchildren and one more soon to be born on maman's birthday. Maman was born on the 28th of May, 1929 to the late Jeanne (née Clément) and Albéni Diotte and has joined her sister Simone (Maurice O'Leary) and her brothers Vincent (Jeannine), Jean-Paul and Richard. From the Diotte family she also leaves behind her two precious siblings Marcel (Lise) and Rachelle (Roger Gauthier), her in-laws Claudette and Evelyne as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, April 21st at St. Geneviève Roman Catholic Church, 825 Canterbury Avenue, Ottawa, at 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. We also want to offer our sincere thanks to the personnel of "Manoir Portobello" in particular nurse Michelle and Marvin and personal health care workers Monica, Erika and Hélène for their compassionate and loving care of maman. Our mother was a tender and caring woman who loved to laugh and joke. She cherished greatly her family. Maman nous laisse avec un héritage de mémoires et d'histoires; une femme qui savait rassembler les gens autour d'elle. Tu vas nous manquer énormément. Donations can be made in her name to the .
