ABBENDA, Salvatore Peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2008, Salvatore Abbenda, age 86. Beloved husband of Antonia Maiorani. Loving father of Dina Borgognoni (Eugenio) and John Abbenda (June). Cherished grandfather of Nancy, Julia, Anna-Maria and great-grandfather of Antonio and Mia. Predeceased by his brothers Vincenzo and Giuseppe and his granddaughter Tina. Our sincere appreciation is extended to the wonderful staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their excellent care and tremendous support. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (Centretown) Friday, January 4 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, January 5 to St. Anthony's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Pinecrest Remembrance.
