With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dr. Shiv Darshan Lal Chopra B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.Sc., Ph.D. (McGill University 1964), Fellow World Health Organization

Survived by Wife of 55 years Nirmala neé Ahooja, Sons Anil (Annu) and Sandeep (Maureen) and Grandfather to Halley, Maya, Rohan, Rhea and Marek.

Proud retired member of the Canadian Civil Service. Served on innumerable community organizations over 50 years in Ottawa.

Shanti Path Service to be held Saturday January 20, 4 PM at the Hindu Temple of Ottawa Carleton 4835 BANK, Gloucester, ON.

I met Shiv at a lecture he gave in Port Coquitlam and was able to talk with him afterwards til early into the next morning with his friends.
Will never forget.

From all accounts, Mr. Chopra was very brave and generous for his dedication to what he believed in: truth, health, and the service of others. We have all benefitted from his tireless work. I worked with Dr. Chopra in the Bureau of Veterinary Drugs in Health Canada many years ago on an assignment. I found him to be such a pleasant person and I'm saddened to hear of his passing.

To his family I send my deepest condolences and prayers for your loss. He was a great man who always stood up for what he believed in and will be missed.
