RACZ, Steven
Passed away suddenly at his home in Fort Coulougne,QC on March 19th at the age of 52 years. Survived by his father, Steven Racz of Budapest, Hungary, his mother, Gizella Harsanyi Horvath of Ottawa, ON, his sister, Adrienne Ellis of Ingersoll, ON, his nephew's Steven of Oshawa, ON and Scott of Woodstock, ON. Predeceased by his brother Peter 55 years ago. He leaves many extended relatives and friends worldwide. Steve graduated from University of Waterloo in 1984 in Software Design. He worked many places in his career, he worked in Ottawa, ON then adventure took him to Vienna, Austria for 4 years, the next adventure was Dallas, TX, then ended up in New Zealand and just returned back to Canada in 2012 to be near our Mother. Steve was a compassionate, caring, environmentalist who cared deeply for his beloved "Forests" here in Quebec and his "Forest" in Murchison, New Zealand. A true tree-hugger he will be missed by many. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 12 p.m. followed by a reception then Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa, ON. In lieu of flowers, we ask you plant a tree in Steve's memory, or donate to an environmental cause or to the Ontario Heart & Stroke foundation. Condolences, tributes or donations may be made at
