HENDRICK, Vincent August 12, 1926 - December 6, 2017 Peacefully, on December 6, 2017 in his 92nd year surrounded by his family. Youngest son of the late John Hendrick and Veronica O'Connor. Dearly loved husband and closest companion for 63 years to Gertrude White. Ever-loving father to Patricia, Barbara, Joanne (Rick) and Brian. Adored Grandfather of Jodie (Matt), Amanda (Lucas), Krista (Jon), Courtney, Jarred, and Ashlee. Special Great-Grandpa to his hockey stars Ethan and Liam and to Payton, Tanner, and Penelope. Vincent will be welcomed with open arms by his Heavenly Father and there will be a great reunion among friends and relatives including his parents and brothers: Leo, Emmett, Gerald and Lorne; and sisters: Nora, Sister Mary Ruth, Mary, and Alma. He will be missed by relatives and friends including sister-in-law Monica (late Gerald) Hendrick, Stanley and Lorraine White, Angus and Helen White, Coralie (late Edwin) White, Nancy (late Gerald) White, Margaret White, Christine Souliere, Ron Humick, and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends are invited to visit at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield, on Thursday, December 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, December 15 at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 212 Old Chelsea Road, Chelsea with Parish Priest Father Dan Kelly officiating. The family will be present at the church one hour prior to the Celebration. Reception will follow at the Meredith Center, Chelsea. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Stephen's Restoration Fund or to the Wakefield Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
