THOM, Viola (Vi) Jean In hospital, Pembroke on Friday, October 24, 2003 in her 72nd year. Vi Thom (nee Markus) of 139 Morris Street, Pembroke, dearly loved wife of Ed Thom. Dear mother of Diane Wilson (husband Bill), Pembroke; Garry Thom (wife Margo), Kanata; Wendy Ingram (husband Dave), Carp; and Kathy Vizena (husband Gary), Carp. Gramma to Christine and Tiffany; Lindsay and Jennifer; Bradley, Shawn and Justin; Nicholas and Travis; and great-grandson Darcy. Daughter of the late David and Myrtle Markus (nee Anderson). Sister of Alfie, Bobby, Milton, Donald and Murray Markus, Catherine Faught, Alma Cybulski, Marion Kraft, June Popke, and Linda Fields. Predeceased by brother David (Shorty) Markus. Viola's family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Pembroke General Hospital for all their kindness and assistance. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday from 10 to 12 noon. Service in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment in Zion/St. Timothy's Lutheran Cemetery.
