MOHNS, Wallace "Wally" Edward
(Retired Superintendent with Ontario Provincial Police and Past Master of the Atomic Daylight Lodge #686) - peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Wallace Mohns of Pembroke, formerly of Petawawa, dearly loved husband of Betty Mohns (nee Shiflett). Dear father of David Mohns (Jodi), Thompson, Manitoba and Lianne Mohns (Marc Latreille), Shawville, Quebec. Step-father to Theresa Frye (Gerald), Centre, Alabama; Lloyd Amory, Dozier, Alabama; Luther Amory, Trenton, Florida; Elizabeth Amory, Snellville, Georgia; and Capres Amory (Lisa), Suffolk, Virginia. Poppa to Sarah; Ken (Lisa); Cory (Jody); Josh (Kim); and C.J. & Kacy. Great-grandfather to Kenley and Ethan. Son of the late Edward and Clara Mohns (nee Reckzin). Brother of Edwin Mohns (Rae), Petawawa and Viola Silverthorn, Kanata. Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 605 Black Bay Rd., Petawawa on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Members of the Masonic Lodge are requested to assemble at the funeral home for a service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John's Lutheran Church, Ottawa Heart Institute or the Pembroke Regional Hospital MRI Fund.
