UZOABA, Dr. Julius H.E.
A loving father and devoted husband, Dr. Julius H.E. Uzoaba, 74, passed away peacefully in the company of his family in Ottawa on Monday, February 17, 2014. Born in Ogwa, Owerri, Nigeria on April 28, 1939, Julius was the fifth and youngest child to the late Olanma and Uzoagba Ekenta. Julius came to Canada in 1966 to attend university. He received a degree in Economics from St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Master's of Criminology from the University of Ottawa. His academic journey culminated with a Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. A well respected employee of the Solicitor General of Canada, he retired as a Senior Research Manager after 33 years of service. He leaves behind a dedicated and loving wife for 43 years Anne Uzoaba, admiringly proud sons Dan, Eric and Ken, his nephew Charles Uzoaba and many friends and relatives that will miss him dearly. In our hearts you will always remain a loving, devoted, generous, and insightful man who always strove to eliminate social injustices.
