WALL, Mary Phyllis (née Hobbs)
The Guest Book is expired.
The Good Lord took our Dear Mother, Mary Phyllis, to rest with Him on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Mom had struggled valiantly to recover from a severe stroke, and in the end was granted comfort and peace by our Eternal Father in Heaven. The Daughter of Harry and Blanche Hobbs (deceased) of Ashton, Mom is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Herb, and her three children Philip (Sheila Gormley), Kevin, and Joan (Keith Pelley) who will be forever thankful for having such a wonderful and caring Mother. Her grandchildren Christie, Brian, Katie, Jason, Shane and Hope were all very precious to her, and she treated them with special love and devotion. Mom enjoyed having visitors and would go to great lengths in making their stay comfortable providing delicious meals, and a pleasant atmosphere. She always carried her Brothers and Sisters, Ebert (Audrey), Harry (Edith), Craig (Joyce) and Bernice (Cliff) in her heart, and was the loving Sister-in-law of Allen Wall and the late Percy and Charlie Wall, Alice Johnston, Mary Patterson, Lois Sample and Jim Wall. Although many of those she loved have passed on, she continued to cherish their presence in Spirit. Mom is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces who continued to remain dear to her. As Mom was adverse to the risk imposed by winter driving conditions, in keeping with her wishes, we have delayed the Funeral Service until the spring, to be held at 14:00 on Saturday May 10th at Christ Church Anglican, Ashton ON, followed by a reception and Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kanata. We wish to thank all Staff of Our Lady of Mercy Wing of St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, for their love and caring support for Mom during her stay. In lieu of flowers, Mom would have appreciated that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in support of Dad's illness which affected her enormously.
