MARTIN, J. Doris (nee McAinsh)
On Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Robert; and brothers Peter and Don. She will be greatly missed by her children, Bruce (Judy) of Smiths Falls, Wendy Gorman (Bernie) of Carp and Jill (Lori) of Carleton Place. She was fiercely proud of her grandchildren Kimberley McHugh (Peter) UK, Scott Martin (Katharine) of Carp, Chris Gorman (Krysta) of St. Catharines, Grant Gorman (Kirsten) of Carp and Bob Gorman (Julie). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Olivia, Jonathan, Thomas, Matthew, Adelaide, Londyn and Sebastien; and her brothers Ron (Mary), and Howard of Vancouver. Doris was a lifelong member of Bell Street (Centretown) United Church, especially enjoyed the Ark-M Club, and retired from Simpson's (Sears) where she made many friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Sunday, April 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, April 14 at 11:30 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the Ottawa Food Bank or the Bob Martin Tape Ministry at Centretown United Church.
