McDONALD, Gregory J.
On April 26th with peace and grace, Gregory Joseph McDonald passed away at the age of 85 in Ottawa, surrounded by his family. A proud native of Gambo, NL, Greg was born to Agnes and Ignatius, was a loyal and adoring husband to his wife of 55 years Claudette, an unconditionally loving father to Sandra, Gordon (Cindy), Glenn (Karen), Lorraine and a proud and an enthusiastic grandfather to Matthew, James, Emma, Charlotte, Sophia, Roan, Amelia and a godfather to Shannon. Predeceased by his siblings Tom, Pat, Mary Anne and survived by his sisters Rita and Agnes. A retired R.C.A.F warrant officer, Greg was a deeply caring neighbour and parishioner who managed his life with conviction and integrity. His kindness, generosity and patience were ever present as was his love to share stories, be connected to nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. His animation and candor was a joy to all who surrounded him and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of his company.
