Long time employee of the City of Ottawa
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Justine Lecompte, daughter of the late Claire Lacroix and the late Maurice Lecompte, on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at the age of 54. She was surrounded by her beloved and cherished son Jacob, his girlfriend Jullian and her dear sister Elise. She will be remembered with love by her sister and best friend Martine and by Perry and Deb. She leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law Pierre and Eric, as well as several nieces and nephews. Justine was a dear daughter- and sister-in-law of the Billingsley family in Alberta that includes Perry, Gerry, Heather, Ed, Holly and David. Justine was a tremendous reader who enjoyed the theatre and traveling, and was well known for her love of bright colors and decorating style. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 5 East wing at the General Hospital. Also, much gratitude to the "angels on earth" at the Hospice at May Court for the amazing compassion and dignity they showed to Justine in her final days. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Tuesday, May 6 from 12 noon until Service in the Chapel at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care Ottawa or to the would be appreciated.
