LAIDLAW, Genevieve "Denny" Armstrong Bronson
Died peacefully at home in Ottawa on August 8, 2014, at the age of 95. Dear wife of the late Archie Malloch Laidlaw; daughter of the late Frederic E. Bronson and Gertrude Phipps Armstrong Bronson; loving mother of Sheila, James (Mary-Margaret), Ian (Denise Rachel), Christie (Derek Evans); proud grandmother of Adam Laidlaw (Chloé), David Evans, Heather Evans; predeceased by her brother, Fred Bronson, of Victoria, BC, and her sister, Margaret Bronson Toy, of Vancouver, BC; survived by cousins Joe C.W. Armstrong and Mollie Armstrong Patterson of Toronto, and Sarah Armstrong Bagge of King's Lynn, U.K. She will be especially remembered by Mo Laidlaw, Jen Read, her childhood friend Alison Cochrane Connolly, and her nieces and nephews of the Toy, Bronson, Corlett, and Laidlaw families, plus her many wonderful friends from all walks of her life. All are invited to her "celebration of a happy life" at Dominion-Chalmers United Church, 355 Cooper St, Ottawa, corner of Lisgar and O'Connor, on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christie Lake Kids, 400 Coventry Rd, Ottawa K1K 2C7, The Nature Conservancy of Canada, or to a charity of your choice. The Laidlaw family extends many thanks to Dr. Julie Bellefeuille, Dr. Lyall Higginson, Dr. Bridget Thompson, the CCAC support workers, the ParaMed nurses and the A-One Palliative Care nursing team for their expert care and compassionate support.
