My deepest Sympathy to all the Higgerty family on the loss of your father Brian. Coincidentally,my sister Antoinettes'obit is in the Citizen now along with your Dads. We all grew up in the 30's and 40's remembering your Dad as social, fun and special. After graduating we all spread our wings to many other cities and provinces made new homes and raised families. In 2012 after all these years in our mid eighties with faint recognitions we had a rare opportunity to reconnect again along with your Mother back at our roots in Ottawa. A highlite of a life time! May all the memories, love from family and friends lift your spirits now and in the days ahead. Parents Love is forever.

To all of you, Brian's family of whom he was so proud. Your father brought a special aura of joy to our chapel at Rideau Place. His mission was to share his welcoming and warming smile. He shall be missed but we rejoice in knowing he has reach the Goal for which he strived: to be in the House of God.
Having Brian with us made my chapel work so rewarding.
God bless and comfort all of you.

I am sorry to hear of your Dads passing.

In my younger years I was invited into hour home as your mother attempted to teach me piano.

Your Dad and Mom were always fantastic and welcoming.

The youngest in your family always brought his tiger/lion stuffed animal as he associated me with 'Daniel in the Lions Den'.

I know the awful feeling when you lose these 'Special People' in your life.

Please know you are all in my Prayers at this difficult time and that God is welcoming your Dad with your Mom beside him, at the gates of Heaven.

Sincerely
Dan O'Connor
