January 14, 1933 - December 17, 2011
At home on December 17, 2011 Donald Lorne Gow. Beloved husband of Jennifer Gow. Loving father of Michael and Robert. Cherished grandfather to Sierra, Chase, Blake and Ryan. Sadly missed by his brother Lyall and also by his god-children Christianne and Kyle. Don will be fondly remembered by his many friends and family who loved him dearly. He will be remembered for his courage, resoluteness, unfailing humor and wit. A farewell gathering for those whose lives he touched will be held at Capital Memorial Gardens, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa on Thursday, December 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the ALS Society of Ontario appreciated. www.capitalmemorial.ca

My sincere sympathy in this time of great loss.
I will fondly remember Don for his insane humour and one liners - he could make me laugh until my sides would hurt. When I think of Don it brings a smile to my face as he was truly a great inspiration to me in how keep the right perspective on life. May he rest in eternal peace.

I was very sadden to hear about Don's condition. I am sure he fought it with the same tenacity as he did everything else in life. I really enjoyed working with Don. He had the best sense of humor that made life at CD so enjoyable.

I had the privilege of hunting with Don for many years and he was an amazing man who taught me lots.
