HENDRIKS, Alexandra (Ali)
nee Ferguson
(1973 - 2012)
With great sadness, we announce that after
a courageous battle with cancer, Ali passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved family. Ali will be dearly missed
by her husband Patrick, her cherished daughters, Ella and Sasha, her mother
Sherry, her siblings Cameron (Monika), Eric (Nancy), Nicky (Clare) and Gill, her loving
in-laws Hubert and Georgette, her sister-
in-law Anik (Jules), her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Ali is predeceased by her father Stuart. Ali's love of travel took her all over the world for study, work and exploration before her love of family brought her home to settle in Chelsea, QC with Patrick. Ali blossomed as a mother to Ella and Sasha and worked hard to pass on her enthusiasm, wonder and authenticity to her girls. She lived every day true to her favourite quote by Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." The family warmly thanks Dr. Vanessa Cardy, nurse Pascale Binette and the rest of the Chelsea LCSC staff for their excellent care. A service to celebrate Ali's life will be held at St- Stephen Catholic Church in Chelsea (212 Old Chelsea Road), Friday April 20, 2012. Friends will be received by the family at 10:15 a.m., service commencing at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at any Bank of Montreal branch to an independent trust fund which has been set up for Ella and Sasha Hendriks. Online condolences may be made at .
