1948 - 2012
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family shares the sad news of his passing, suddenly at his home of a previously undiagnosed condition on November 16th. Cherished son of the late Nora and William Deacon, loving father of Emily (Steve), Jessie (Sammy) and Matthew (Larissa), adoring grandfather to Jeremy and Benjamin and beloved friend to Kathleen. He is survived by his brothers John, Bill, Gerry (Kathryn) and Christopher (Gwen) and his nieces and nephews in Canada and New Zealand. He will also be dearly missed by his extended family in Ireland with whom he felt deep ties. Brian was born in Montreal the third of five boys. He graduated with distinction from Carleton University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and loved to share his knowledge with his children and now grandchildren. Wednesday, November 21st, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Memorial Service in Memory of Brian in the Chapel at 12 p.m. Reception to follow in the Arbor Lounge. As an expression of sympathy donations in his name can be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
