CHESLOCK, Arnold Edward
Veteran of WWII, Fort Gary Horse Regiment, passed away at home on December 2, 2012 in Gatineau (Buckingham), QC, peacefully and surrounded by his family. He was born October 5, 1920 in Poltimore, QC. He was predeceased by his parents Hattie (Dale) and Isadore Cheslock and his brother Leonard Cheslock. Missing him already are his loved wife of 63 years Grania (Ball), his 3 children Arleen (Yvon Boucher) of Gatineau, QC, Sandra (Gustave Martineau) of Notre Dame de LaSalette, QC and Robert (Agnes Ducharme) of L'Ange Gardien, QC. He will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren, Sean (Jana Amos) and Carrie-Anne Riley (Robert Odjick), Derek (Lisa Rochon) and Lindsay Cheslock (Dieter Baertsch) and Jayson and Emilie Martineau, also by his 5 great- grandchildren (Arianne, Jescey, Olivia, Seth and Abby). He is survived by two brothers Harold of Melcalf, ON (Anne Meyer), Stanley Val des Mont, QC (Sue Scharf), sister Elvis Kentucky, USA (Hank Rapp) and beloved sister-in-law Eileen Hunt and family. Funeral Service will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Gorman Street, Buckingham, QC at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. The family would like to thank Dr. Francois Séguin and his staff at the CLSC whom without them, in-home care would not have been possible. Also, we would like to thank Lynn for all her information and help, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 54.
