HABER, Laura Louise (Price)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Laura at home in Stittsville, on Friday, January 18, 2013, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Erich for 45 years. Loving mother of Stephen and his wife Amy; proud and devoted grandmother of Liam and Caleb. Laura was born in Toronto to Bill (2010) and Audrey (2005) Price (Passmore) and resided in the east end. Generous and caring sister of Helen (Dave), Fran (Gary), Bill (Lou Ann), Mary (Humberto), and Shirley (1993) (Phil); loving aunt of Scott (Jane), Ian (Fiona), Aaron (Kristin), Allison, Katharine, David, Ashley and Andy (1993) (Inge); and great-aunt of Ooma, Sophia, Holly and Azra. Dear daughter-in-law of Maria and Karl (2006) Haber and sister-in- law of Mary (Gord). Laura will be fondly remembered by Aunts Shirl Stewart and Hilda Humeniuk, and many cousins, as well as friends from Ottawa and Toronto. Laura was an elementary school teacher in Toronto prior to moving to Ottawa with Erich. There, she worked at Carleton U. preschool and Elgin Street P.S., and volunteered with the Toy Testing Council before earning her diploma in Residential Decor at Algonquin College. Family will receive friends at a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the Chapel at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Laura's memory to the Canadian Lung Association, Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Laura will be missed by all who knew her.
