Retired Civil Servant
Died peacefully, Thursday, March 14, 2013, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Frances (nee McGlade). Loving father of Mary Catherine (Paul Winke), Patricia (Jeannie McMurtry), Christine (David Gillanders) and Rebecca. Devoted grandfather to James, Jack, Grace, Kaia and Emmet. Predeceased by his parents Allan Jerome Moran and Mary Catherine Lahey and by his sister Rosemary. Also survived by his nephew Michael Boisvert (Maureen) and nieces Sharon (Charles Mccloskey) and Anne-Marie Boisvert. He will be fondly remembered by his McGlade sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews. His family wish to thank the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital and at New Edinburgh Square.

My deepest synpathy to the Moran family. John and I worked together at the Anti-Inflation Board in the 70s. He was one of the finest colleagues I ever had the pleasure to work with.
