SIMPSON, Lorna Gertrude
The bright light of our family has gone out.
Peacefully, at the Embassy West Hospice, in her 82nd year, with Jim, her devoted husband of 57 years holding her hand.
Loving mother of Jamie (Anne-Marie). Beloved grandmother of Sean, Erin and Aidan. Dear sister of Phil (Pat), Marian (Ed Taylor) and Rita (Joe McEwen) and predeceased by Mickey and Marty. Adored Aunt to many nieces and nephews and treasured "ice cream lady" at Simpson family reunions.
Blessed with a generous and out-going spirit, a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh, Lorna made many lives brighter and happier.
She had a beautiful and strong soprano voice, sang at many family weddings and was a proud member of the Ottawa Police Chorus. In her early years her singing and acting skills appeared on various musical stages.
The family is grateful to Dr. S. Verma and Nurse Tawny of the Ottawa Cancer Center, to Dr. Frances Kilbertus and Nurse Maryse Bouvette of Elisabeth Bruyere, and to the Champlain CCAC for their personal and special care. Special thanks to the angels at the Embassy West Hospice. Friends may pay respects at the
