Serge Gervais Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Serge Gervais, peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, on April 19, 2014, at the age of 60. Serge will be sadly missed by his mother Jeannine Desjardins Gervais (the late Joseph Clair Gervais), his sister Claudette Johnson, his nephew Ian Johnson, his niece Michèle Kawa and her family, as well as by Brian and his sister Lorie Peters, and by close friends. A private Service will be held. Heartfelt thanks to the A5 staff at the Civic Hospital. Donations in Serge's memory may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

I am quite saddened to learn of Serge's death, which I learned of today. I was acquainted with Serge at Goodlife Fitness - Rideau Centre. To his family, I extend my sincere condolences.

Serge was a lovely and kind man who always had a cheerful word for us at the gym. He always spoke so lovingly of his family, especially his mother, who he clearly adored.

Serge was a regular at the gym in the Rideau Centre. I would speak with Serge every Saturday morning while we waited for the gym to open. Last time we spoke he told me that he would be away for a month or two for medical reasons. I was shocked and saddened by the news we just received at the gym that Serge passed away. My condolences to his family.
