Michael Takeda Obituary
Michael Warren Kiyoshi Takeda, 67, of Ottawa, ON passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on April 30th 2014. Mike, son of Akira and Misao Takeda, loving husband of Jo-Anne Mosco Takeda, he is survived by his wife, his children Tabitha and Elvin and by three beautiful grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Joanne, I was so sorry to learn of Mike's death. You may not remember me but I lived next door (temporarily), in the apartment on Baseline Road. I have thought of you both many times over the years, but was unable to locate you. I remember you both to be such a fun, wonderful couple and the great times and parties we shared. I regret the time that has passed, and regret deeply not finding you before Mike's passing. I hope someday to see you again and talk about all those years so long past. God bless you and your family. Jo-Anne, Tabitha, and Elvy,
I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I remember Mike as being a very great neighbour, always peeking inside our yard to make sure mom and dad had planted their flowers properly, and offering his advice. He was a nice man to chat with in the co-op. I remember as a kid we would go fishing, Mike, my dad, Elvy and myself. Those were fun mornings! Thanks Mike also for the lifts to school and saving me from the frigid bus stop in winter. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family during this very difficult time.

Jo-Anne and Family,
Denis and I are so sad to hear of Mike's passing. Having met him while at Stats, Mike became a good friend of ours, and that friendship continued even after we left and began working elsewhere.
Mike will truly be missed. His smile, his laugh, his kindness and thoughtfulness are all things that we will remember about him in the days and weeks to come.

To Mike's family, so sorry for your loss, I enjoyed many talks in my office at Stats with Mike, he would share pictures of his grandchildren, he was so proud. He always made sure our coffee machine was was ready.

Joanne and Family, Our deepest condolences. Mike was always one of the first cousins to help with the picnic tables and setting up the awnings at the picnics in July. I know my last visit before he passed he told me he was looking forward to seeing all the cousins at the annual Takeda family picnic in July. I know this year we will miss him, his help and good talks.

The whole Takeda family mourns our oldest cousin. I will always remeber having dinner and enjoying the couch with Mike while I was on dealer visits in Ottawa. It was my home away from home. Will miss his laughter.
