Hi Dad. Its been three years since you left. The longer it is, the more I appreciate you. Not that you can know that, of course. I did try to tell you when you were alive. Ill visit you when Im home - not that I believe youre hovering around somewhere, but because its as close as Ill ever get. Love you

Real was a great person and friend. Knowing that he will not show up at the hunting camp as he did for so many years hurts. We will miss him. On behalf of the Madison family, our sincere condolences.

There are not enough words to describe the love and respect I have for my Grandpa Real. They don't build 'em like him anymore. He will be missed immensely but he will live on in our memories and in our sincerest efforts to live a life he would be proud of. We love you Grandpa, always!

Réal will always be my father and almost mythical yet so approachable hero. He is my young World War II hero tested in battle and older Viking Chieftain on his funeral pyre. In between he was the best friend who accepted me for who I was, never judgmental, and loved me as only a father can a son. To say I was fortunate is understatement. To say I am a lesser man would be to do him a disservice. What he built he builded well. Wherever I go, it will be my great fortune and boast to say that I am his son and he my father. Merci papa. I have worked at the Proulx's residence for many years. I have come to know Mr.Proulx as a kind and considerate man. He was a hard worker, had a strong sense of justice and did what was right and humane. Over the years we had much discussion on many levels.
I remember mostly seeing him working in the back yard trimming the cedar hedges and caring for his large beautiful landscaped yard. He worked diligently to keep it well-manicured.
His toughest challenge was those pestle moles. They were ruining his grass which he works so hard at.
He had words of wisdom, and look at life with courage.
You are in my thoughts, Time to rest and God will remember your good deeds.

Our thoughts are with you as we remember such a kind gentleman. We have many wonderful memories of our years working with Mr. Proulx at the UTU as well as the lovely parties hosted at Jacqueline and Real's home. So many stories and so much laughter, it was a pleasure to go to work. Those were indeed the good old days. He will be missed. Sandra Monaghan and Rita Rank (Piche)

Your unconditional love has defined my life. I have known my entire life that I would not be ready to say goodbye and I am still not. Thank you for spending your last few minutes with me. I will always love you.
