Ms. Anna, I was a student of the magnificent artist Gerald Smith for 3 years in OSA, all the knowledge that I learned about painting was for his teaching and before my school graduation in OSA I had the great opportunity to work with Gerald as tutor of my Apprenticeship.
I learned a lot from him and I grew up as an artist.
I will always be grateful for the kindness of you two.
Ms. Anna, I am very sorry...

Dear Anna, I am sorry to hear of Gerald's death. I always enjoyed talking with him at the Foyer Gallery. He did love going off on tangents, but they were all interesting. I missed his funeral as I was out of the country, painting in France. He was a lovely, knowledgeable and talented man.

Anna, I am so sorry. Gerald has been a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was a great inspiration to my family and friends.
He is now dancing on the streets of gold.
