Born June 16, 1946, Winnipeg, Manitoba; died May 31, 2016; known to family and many friends as 'Sandy'; a musician, writer and art collector. Predeceased by his parents, Ruth Evelyn Mackenzie and Charles Anstruther Pope, and by his aunt, Audrey Cecilia Pope; survived by his aunt, Betty Rigden Mackenzie, and by cousins, The Rev. Richard Graham Mackenzie, Sir Wayne Alexander King, Dorothy Jane Falt, Dawn Robbins Fuhrmann, Spencer Robbins, Roger Ashton and Elizabeth 'Liz' Ashton. Predeceased by friends including Dr. Daphne Powell Bell and James Matthew Maybank; survived by friends including Dr. Douglas Schoenherr, Dr. Jennifer Dickson R.A., Dr. Michel Gaulin, Frederick Osman, Jacob Krichaf, Guy Boyd, Carrol Anne Curry, Marjorie Mackeen, John and Barbara Hansen, Jessica Hansen- Wheaton, Marianne Osborne, Pamela Mia Paul, Anna Bilsky, and many more. At Charles' request, there will be no funeral or memorial service; cremated remains to be scattered over water.
