WILLIAMS, Shannon Mervyn (Merv)
1977 - 2016

It is with profound sadness that on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Heather and Merv lost their son of 39 years. He peacefully succumbed with his whole family by his side to the many health challenges that his heart and body ultimately could not endure. Forever loved by his son Brayden, twin sisters Alyssa (Marc) and Mandi (Patrice), grandmother Audrey, great-aunt Marilyn, goddaughter Nova, devoted friend Alma, his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and colleagues. Amongst his many attributes as a comedian, writer, musician, educator, salesman, (a very bad goalie), Shannon (Merv) had an amazing passion and love for the radio business and his time as an announcer and producer at CHOM/CJAD/MIX 96 was very special to him. He touched a great many people and will be fondly remembered as a man with a big heart and a great sense of humour! A celebration of Shannon's (Merv) life will be held at Yves Legare Funeral home located at 7200 Newman Blvd, LaSalle Quebec H8N1X2 ( on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ottawa Children's Hospital
