Anna A. Beamish

Anna A. Beamish, 86, of Coleman, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Toni & Trish House. She was born in Shepherd, Dec. 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Starich) Simon.

Anna A. Simon married Leslie W. Beamish Dec. 1, 1945, in Coleman. He died May 3, 2002. She loved spending time with family and friends at their cottage in Lake City. Ann enjoyed collecting antiques, baking and her flower garden. She retired from Dow Corning after 32 years of service.

Survivors include her son, Leslie "Butch" and Wanda Beamish of Coleman; granddaughters, Lisa Torres of Midland, Michelle and Mark Bone of Midland and Sarah and Matt Graham of Rosebush; great-granddaughters, Macy, Kenadee, Marlee, Matilda and Sally; brothers, Jim and Phyllis Simon of Coleman and Ernest and Mary Simon of Clare; sisters, Mary Dunlop of Coleman and Margaret and Matt Morrison of Clare; sisters-in-law, Harriet Simon of Coleman, Patricia Simon of Coleman and Juanita Simon of Beaverton; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Alex, Steve and Joseph Simon.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., with The Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Burial will take place in the Geneva Township Cemetery, North Bradley.

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Toni & Trish House or Coleman Area Library.
