Jean Parlett, 84, of Midland, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1929 in South Port, England, to the late Alex and Grace Marshall. On Dec. 7, 1963, Jean married Robert Parlett, who preceded her in death March 1, 2010.
Jean worked as a nurse at MidMichigan Hospital, Washington Woods and Town and Country Healthcare. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered her time to the Caring Card Group there. Jean loved to knit and bake cookies for everyone at Washington Woods.
Jean is survived by her sons, Mark (Sonhwa) and Kevin (Kim); grandchildren, Joseph, Michelle, Chancellor, Andrew, Kyle and Brooke.
Jean was preceded in death by one brother.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at First United Methodist, with The Rev. Dr. Charles Keyworth officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
