Douglas Kuch Obituary
Douglas R. Kuch, 56, of Bay City, passed away early Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, 2007, at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. The son of Raymond R. Kuch and Arlene Engelhardt was born on Dec. 11, 1950, in Bay City. Doug worked at The Dow Chemical Co. in Agriculture Research as a chemical operator for 20 years until his recent illness. He loved fishing and hunting and was a member of the Freeland Sportsman Club and the Bay City Yacht Club.
On Oct. 17, 1981, Doug married the former Sheri Karnath; she survives him along with one brother, Darwin Kuch of Auburn; his mother-in-law, Lori Karnath of Midland; a sister-in-law, Tina Karnath of Pinconning; his special friend and fishing buddy, Dave Schaeffer of Bay City; and many other relatives and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Raymond R. Kuch.
Doug's family would like to thank the doctors and staff at MidMichigan Medical Center, especially the nursing staff at CCU and Floor F100 for their care and compassion.
Funeral Services will take place 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc., 201 W. Midland St., Bay City. Private interment will be in Fremont Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan or the donors choice.
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Dear Sheri, I was so saddened to hear of your husbands passing. I just spoke to Tina, my heart goes out to you and your family, I know what its like to lose a husband, but you have a wonderful family and Tina says lots of friends. They, i'm sure will be very supportive, you'll need them. But the sick and lonely feeling will ease up some. Sheri - We just got back in town Sunday night and were devestated to hear of Doug's passing. We are so very sorry for your loss. Doug will always be remembered by us as a wonderful friend who had a huge heart of gold. God Bless you - I will keep you in my prayers.
