Cathey Marie Tierney, 55, of Clarksville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Calvary Bible Church in Joelton, with Dr. Joe Miller and Dr. David Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View with Joe Tierney, Jr., Colin Tierney, Ben Tierney, Ross Tierney, Joseph Harrell, and Joshua Harrell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church today from 3-8 p.m., and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Mrs. Tierney was born June 29, 1957, in Moline, Ill. She was a Shaklee Distributor for "Vital Care" and served as a ladies bible study teacher for 25 years. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. In previous years she had been a cosmetologist and owner/operator of The Salon in Chesterton, Ind., and the executive director of Caregiving Network, Inc. in Midland.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dr. Joe Tierney; sons, Joe Tierney, Jr., Colin Tierney, Ben (Jane) Tierney all of Midland, and Ross (Laura) Tierney of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Celeste Tierney and fiancé Ivan Lekic of Clarksville; parents, Edgar and Ola Harrell of Clarksville; brother, Dr. David (Nancy) Harrell of Pleasant View; grandson, Tucker Tierney of Midland; granddaughter, Ruth Tierney of Franklin, Tenn.; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
