Darcy Melissa Puente (Ruhle), 46, of Salinas, Calif., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.

Darcy was born May 24, 1966, in Coleman. She was raised in Montana and had been a resident of Monterey County since 1990. She was employed as an escrow officer for various title companies, having worked for over 25 years. Darcy enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and cooking. She will be fondly remembered for her love of roses and her delicious rose petal wine. She was the beloved mother of the family pet dog and companion, Michi.
Darcy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Joseph Michael Puente, of Salinas; parents, Mark and Ruth Ann Ruhle of Michigan; brother, Shawn Ruhle of Michigan; niece, Taryne Ruhle of Michigan; and paternal grandfather, Berdette "Jock" Ruhle. Darcy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wallace and Pearl Brand; and her paternal grandmother, Mildred Ruhle.
A memorial service will be held at the family homes in Salinas and Coleman at a later date.
