Eleanor Ann (Clark) Vought, 80, of Coleman, died Saturday, Dec, 29, 2012, at her home. She was born May 2, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry B. and Marion (Flynn) Clark. She married Stanley G. Vought July 5, 1952.

Eleanor retired in 1987 from Fuelgas Co. of Clare, where she worked for 20 years. She was active in getting the Coleman Library started and sat on the board for 20 years.

Eleanor enjoyed writing poetry. She was a stringer for the Midland Daily News and the Coleman Tribune. Eleanor was active in the Coleman Senior Center. She loved to knit and crochet and made many mittens and afghans for those in need. She was a member of #167 IOOF Rebekah of MI. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley of Coleman; daughters, Karen and Jerry Allen of Clare, Donna Vought of Lake, Barbara and Robert Merchand of Hessel; and a grandson, Wiley Richard Scheal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry B.and Marion (Flynn) Clark; brothers, Harry B., Joseph M., Richard D. Clark, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services. Friends who wish, may direct memorials to the Coleman Area Library, the Coleman Senior Center, or the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.

O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
