Patricia Bon passed away peacefully in her home in Concord, Calif., surrounded by her family. She and her husband, Charlie Bon, were active members of their church.

Pat was a recognized artist and craftswoman who inspired people to explore art in many forms including painting, weaving, ceramics, jewelry making, lapidary, wood working and epicurean adventures. She has and has had works installed in arts centers and churches in Michigan and California.

Pat loved life in all forms. People, animals, and plants thrived in her care. She had remarkable empathy for all beings and could find the good in everyone.

Her biggest joy was her family, who cherish her memory and treasure the wisdom and love she passed to them.

Pat is survived by her husband, Charles Bon; her sister, Marcia Collver; her three children, Heidi Bukoski (and husband Jerry), Robin Bon (and Gene Fredericks), and Carl Bon (and wife Margaret Bon); and six grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Jay, Jen, Alex, and Susan.

There will be a celebration of Pat's life at Saint John's Episcopal Church, Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Saint John's Episcopal Church, 5555 Clayton Rd, Clayton, CA 94517.
