Genevieve Evangeline Randolph, 81, of Sanford, died Saturday evening, March 8, 2014 at MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 12, 1933 in Lansing, daughter of the late Levi and Hazel Bowers, where she was raised and educated.
Genevieve had lived in Sanford for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Sanford Eagles, the Abundant Life Apostolic Church, and was an avid card player. She is survived by her sons Scott (Tina) Randolph of Midland, Fred Randolph of Sanford, Dave Randolph of Sanford, daughter Nancy (Cliff) Yack of Midland, grandchildren Jeremy, Jason, Bandit, Caleb, Frederick, David, Matthew, Elizabeth, Joey, Tonya, Jessie, Mary, numerous great grandchildren and her brother Larry Challanger. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Randolph, sons Joseph and Lawrence, and her daughter Rose Arndt. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Pastor Rick Fairfield will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and from noon until time of service Tuesday.
