Jenifer Grace Sisco, 40, of Midland, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014, at home with her family by her side. She was born on April 11, 1974, in Saginaw, to Gary L. and Judith A. (Fleminger) Turner. Jenifer married Mike K. Sisco on Dec. 22, 2001.
Jenifer graduated from Hemlock High School and then went to Central Michigan University and obtained her teaching degree. She furthered her education at Saginaw Valley University, completing her master's degree. Jenifer worked at Midland High School as a teacher and head of the math department. She was a very spiritual person who enjoyed camping and traveling.
Jenifer's life was her family and her kids at the school.
Jenifer is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Rachel Grace, Blake Michael and Lauren Lynn; her parents, Gary and Judy Turner of Hemlock; and her mother and father-in-law, Ken and Judy Sisco of Midland. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne (Peter) Rielle; her brothers, Jeff (Hope) Turner and Greg (Samantha ) Turner; sister-in-law, Molly (John) Schwartz; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
The funeral and visitation will be limited to immediate family and friends due to size constraints of the facilities. A funeral service will be held at Memorial Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 1 p.m., with The Rev. Wallace Mayton III and Michael Turner (Jenifer's cousin) officiating. A visitation will be at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 12 p.m. until the time of service. A full memorial service open to all will be held at the Midland High School gymnasium on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 4:30 p.m.
