And she prayed: "Oh, God, I want to be with Jack! I want to see my Daddy and Mommy! My God, Please, Help me!" and God heard her prayer.
In the wee hours of Friday morning, Aug. 8, Lila Irene Schultz (Wehner) joined her beloved Jack (Donald) husband of 51 years and her parents Herbert and Estella (Dowis) Wehner and a heavenly reunion began. Lila's only regret was leaving her beloved family. God had blessed her and Jack with children, a beloved daughter Sandra (Dave) Bacoccini and two sons, Tim (Barb) Schultz and Jeff (Nancy) Schultz who never wanted for love or a listening ear and gentle hope. Lila and Jack celebrated with the arrival of their nine grandchildren; Gabriel, Mike and Casey Schultz; Courtney, Ashley, and Tony Bacoccini; and Tyler, Travis, and Thomas Schultz; and five great grandchildren. Lila also leaves behind one sister, Bonnie Reynolds and numerous nieces and nephews. Now, a crowd gathers beneath the towering willows of Ojibway Island, where over the years the families had united. The picnic tables are lined up and set, the reunion banner is hung, and a gathering of those who once were are together again. Praise be to God.
