Franklin Thomas Kanary was born on April 14, 1937, in Saginaw and passed away on Oct. 22, 2012, in Littleton, Colo. He retired in 1997 from Packaging Sales for American National Can Company.
Franklin was a U.S. Navy Veteran 1956-1960, 3rd Class Petty Officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Powers Kanary Jr., and Kathryn Lucille Knowles. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Romain Kanary; son, Thomas Franklin Kanary of Broomfield, Colo.; daughter, Lori Katherine Kanary-Been and her husband, Andrew of Denver, Colo.; grandsons, Noah Thomas Kanary and Logan Adam Kanary of Broomfield, Colo.; brother, David Kanary and his wife, Joyce of Midland; sister, Janet Pohto and her husband, Daniel of Tampa, Fla.
Frank belonged to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Arvada, Colo., and Lake Arbor Golfcourse Men's Club, Arvada, Colo.
Services were held on Oct. 29, 2012, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joan of Arc Kitchen, at 12735 West 58th Ave., Arvada, CO 80002
