Theresa McMillan Harris, 92, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, after a long, fruitful life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bronson O. Harris; and is survived by her children, Bruce C. Harris, 67, of Midland, Tracy H. Emsley, 61, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Scott M. Harris, 59, of Midland and Heather H. Blume, 54, of Santa Cruz, Calif. She has six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Martha McMillan Parker, 90, lives in Salem, Mass. Her two elder brothers, Archibald W. McMillan and Edward B. McMillan, preceded her.

She was born in Bay City, in 1920, daughter of Blanche B. and Archibald H. McMillan. She earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Michigan State University and worked at The Dow Chemical Co. from 1944-1951. She married Bronson Ora Harris in 1950. She was a realtor from 1972-1998 and was part owner in their real estate business.

Theresa was active in the Memorial Presbyterian Church for over 50 years in many positions, including deacon and elder. She enjoyed an active life, skiing, sailing, camping, windsurfing, square dancing and traveling. She played bridge and was active in her book club. Her family was important to her and she was loved by all.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at B.E.S. Memorial Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. Lunch follows.
