Kevin F. Leser

Kevin F. Leser, of Bay City, our beloved husband, father, son and brother passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 with his family at his side. Kevin was born in Bay City on March 17, 1965 to C. Robert and the late Sandra K. (Berthiaume) Leser and resided here all of his life. Kevin was a 1983 graduate of Bay City Western High School. On Nov. 3, 1990, Kevin married his high school sweetheart, Linda (McMullen) Leser. Kevin enjoyed woodworking, John Wayne and Godzilla movies and Detroit Tigers baseball. His greatest love was the sport of bowling. He was a member of many all-star teams and in 2008, was inducted into the Midland Bowling Hall of Fame. He spent many years in both Bay City and Midland coaching youth bowling, one of his proudest accomplishments.

Kevin is survived by his wife; father; son Matthew (Megan Premo); brothers, R. Scott (Peggy) and Terry (Heather); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother, Kevin was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Bill and Phyllis McMullen; several aunts and uncles; and his beloved golden retriever, Worf. Kevin's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Medical Care and the nurses in CCU and 4 West at McLaren Bay Region.

At the request of Kevin, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be the Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
