Norma Jean Marcum

Norma Jean Marcum, 79, wife of Glenn Marcum, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. A Lexington native, she was born May 8, 1934, to the late William Henry and Myra Greene Lewis. Mrs. Marcum had served as a cafeteria manager for Boyle County schools and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Joey (Carla) Marcum of Corbin and Tim (Beverly) Marcum of Owenton; two grandchildren, Ashton and Seth Marcum; a sister-in-law, Mildred Lewis of Lexington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Lewis and Claude Lewis and a sister, Dorothy Griffith. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Kerr Brothers Funeral in Lexington by Pastor Brian Teater. Burial followed at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
