ALDRIDGE, Charles F. (Charlie)* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice ALDRIDGE, Charles F. "Charlie" Age 84 of Hamilton passed away Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born October 10, 1930 in Madison, Indiana the son of the late Ernest and Nora (Tingle) Aldridge. On August 7, 1950 he married Vearlie Turner. Mr. Aldridge worked as an assembler at Mosler Safe Company in Hamilton for over 35 years, retiring in 1994. He loved working on cars and spending time with his family. He coached baseball in Hamilton for over 10 years. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Vearlie Aldridge; his children Betty (Richard) Roesch, Harry (Amy) Aldridge, and Rhonda Spradling; grandchildren Lisa (Brian) Hesse, Harry (Rhonda) Aldridge, Jr., Brent Aldridge, Brandi (Brad) Studer, Ashley Aldridge, Crystal Spradling, Dustin Spradling, Chelsie Spradling, and Ean Bowlin; and great grandchildren Ciara, Logan, Kylee, Konner, Brent, Jr., Xavier, Camryn, Carson, Cruz, Ava, Brooklyn, Bryson, Grant, and Grace. Mr. Aldridge was also preceded in death by his son Charles Edward Aldridge, Jr., as well as 3 sisters and a brother. BACHMANN, Marcia A.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice BACHMANN, Marcia A. Age 87 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 5, 1927, the daughter of Paul and Theresa (Weiss) Ruhl and was a 1945 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On May 1, 1954, in St. Peter in Chains Church, she married Herbert J. Bachmann a marriage of 46 years, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2000. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Bachmann of Hamilton; seven sons, Greg (Marty) of Loveland, Doug (Patti) of Eaton, Mike (Paula), Dave (Susan), and Steve (Beth) Bachmann, all of Hamilton, Jim (Kate) Bachmann of Monroe, and Richard Bachmann of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren, John, Tom, Kelly, Paige, Ryan, Jill (Scott), Sam, Caroline, Zachary, Daniel and Elliot; a great-grandchild, Adeliegh; Besides her husband, Herbert, she was also preceded in death by a daughter Mary Lou Bachmann December 24, 2013; a brother, Paul Ruhl; three sisters, Mary Lagedrost, Margie Tann, and Marie Ebbing. Prayers will be offered at 10:30AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Monday in St. Peter in Chains Church. News Death Notice BARNARD-BARNETT, Ethan G. Age 18, of Farmersville, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 as the result of a tragic car accident. He was born May 12, 1997 in Middletown, Ohio. Ethan had attended school at Valley View High School, and was an outgoing and loving person. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars with his uncle and riding four wheelers. Preceding him in death were his great grandfather, Samuel Barnett; his grandfather, Samuel Barnett, Jr.; great grandmother, Lorena Gilbert; great grandfather, Charles Gilbert; and maternal great aunt and uncle, Tommy and Linda Barnett. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Christina Barnett and Jeff Burnett; father, David Barnard; one sister, Maggie Barnard-Barnett; one brother, Conner Barnard-Barnett; two half brothers, Paul Barnard and Trevor Barnard; maternal grandmother, Sheila Hawkins, husband Ray; paternal grandfather, Steve Wright; paternal grandmother, Toni Barnard; maternal great grandmother, Mary Barnett; maternal aunt, Mary Snelling, husband Duke; uncle, Samuel Barnett III; special cousin, Gracie Barnett; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. BASSITT Sr., George E.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice BASSITT, Sr., George E. Age 86 of Hamilton passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born on May 27, 1929 in Whitesville, West Virginia, the son of the late Adeeb and Helen (McCallister) Bassitt. On April 26, 1950 George married Nell Ruth McDowell. George was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM, Scottish Rites, York Rites and Eastern Star, Washington Chapter. He worked as a chemical operator for Fernald retiring after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell Ruth Bassitt; three children, Christy (Robert) Kirlin; George (Marcy) Bassitt, Jr. and Debi Bassitt; five grandchildren, Julie Bassitt, Chuck Kirlin, Amy (Tom) Freeman, Kelsey Edgecomb and Christopher Wynn; 7 great grandchildren and many other family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his three siblings, Bill, Eddie and Margaret Bassitt. Visitation will be on Monday July 6, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, with Masonic services starting at 7:45pm. Funeral Ceremony will held at 11am on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark D. Finfrock officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. News Death Notice BATES, Lillian M. "Pauline" Age 81, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Residence at Kensington where she had resided for 3 ½ years. She was born January 12, 1934 in Laurel County, Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1974. She was a mother and homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing the piano. Preceding her in death were her parents, C.S. and Priscilla (Philpot) Pedigo; her husband, William Henry Bates in 1986; one son, Jack Stephen Lear; four brothers, Bill, Joe, Doc and Raymond Pedigo; three sisters, Juanita Doud, Dorothy Madge Runyan; and Nancy Aleta Lansdale; two half-brothers, Walter C. and Joseph Edgar Pedigo; and two half-sisters, Pearl Lena Finley and Erma Eliza Townsend. She is survived by three children, Kevin (Connie) Lear, Karen Proffitt and JoAnna Taulbee; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Wendy) Lear II, Brian Lear, Rebecca Banks, Jerrod Taulbee, James Lear and Jennifer Proffitt; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Eyer and Shirley Williams; two brothers, Jack Pedigo and Kenny Pedigo; sister-in-law, Vera Pedigo; many special nieces and nephews; and good friend, companion and fiancé Bob Specht. News Death Notice BAUER, Betty Jo Age 96 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Sandston, Virginia. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 29, 1919, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Huffman) Pepper. On March 7, 1969, in Liberty, Indiana she married Ralph J. Bauer and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1999. Betty worked at Diebold Inc. Hamilton plant for 38 years retiring on May 1, 1985. Survivors include a niece, Kris Lydon, with whom she resided. Besides her husband, Ralph, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Jean Sprague in 1997; a step-daughter, Cozetta Brummer. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at 2:30PM Thursday in St. Mary Cemetery, 4030 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating.
