News Death Notice BAKER, Russell Carlton Age 51 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 2:00AM. He was born in Hamilton on April 17, 1964 to Russell E. and Ilene (Shively) Baker. Russell was self-employed. He was a member of the YMCA and attended the Hamilton Christian Center. He is survived by his wife, Diane Hill, his daughter, Marissa Baker, his brother, James Baker, grandchildren, Waylin, Lanie, and Madelynn, step -daughters, Yulaunda Kiser, Chaundra Hornsby-Knick, and Andrea McIntosh, his best friends, Rhonda and Joe Isaacs, his step-mother, Mary Jo Baker. He was preceded in death by his step-father Jack Crank. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 1PM with Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 12-1PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hamilton Christian Center. BASSITT Sr., George E.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice BASSITT, Sr., George E. Age 86 of Hamilton passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born on May 27, 1929 in Whitesville, West Virginia, the son of the late Adeeb and Helen (McCallister) Bassitt. On April 26, 1950 George married Nell Ruth McDowell. George was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM, Scottish Rites, York Rites and Eastern Star, Washington Chapter. He worked as a chemical operator for Fernald retiring after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell Ruth Bassitt; three children, Christy (Robert) Kirlin; George (Marcy) Bassitt, Jr. and Debi Bassitt; five grandchildren, Julie Bassitt, Chuck Kirlin, Amy (Tom) Freeman, Kelsey Edgecomb and Christopher Wynn; 7 great grandchildren and many other family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his three siblings, Bill, Eddie and Margaret Bassitt. Visitation will be on Monday July 6, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, with Masonic services starting at 7:45pm. Funeral Ceremony will held at 11am on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark D. Finfrock officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. BAUER, Betty Jo* - Mechanicsville  
News Death Notice BAUER, Betty Jo Age 96 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Sandston, Virginia. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 29, 1919, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Huffman) Pepper. On March 7, 1969, in Liberty, Indiana she married Ralph J. Bauer and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1999. Betty worked at Diebold Inc. Hamilton plant for 38 years retiring on May 1, 1985. Survivors include a niece, Kris Lydon, with whom she resided. Besides her husband, Ralph, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Jean Sprague in 1997; a step-daughter, Cozetta Brummer. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at 2:30PM Thursday in St. Mary Cemetery, 4030 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating. News Death Notice BENTON, Benny Jo Of Middletown was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven, Saturday, June 27, 2015. He was born on November 21, 1951. He was the son of Charles and Ethel Benton. Preceding him in death was his father, Charles Wesley Benton. Benny is survived by his mother, Ethel "Blondie" Benton, his sister Charlotte(Michael) Bowling, son Charles(Amy) Benton, daughter Sara(Tom) Rusk, niece Tina Bowling, and his five grandchildren, Elaina, Michael and Matthew Benton and Caleb and Ethan Rusk. There will be a Celebration of Life event on Saturday, July 4 beginning at 4:00 and lasting throughout the evening. This will be held at 4940 Eck Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042. News Death Notice BIRCH, Geraldine E. Age 78, of Middletown, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH to Burton and Georgianna (Schaefer) Barber. She was a business manager for the credit department at the Middletown Regional Hospital for 25+ years. Geraldine was a member of Breiel Blvd. Church of God and Moose #501. Geraldine is survived by her son, David R. (Jacey) Birch of Myrtle Beach; daughters, Vicki (Lee) Evans, Beth (Tom Cole) Birch both of Middletown; grandchildren, Jordyn, Michael, Molly, Raven, Emily, Georgianna, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Owen, Jaxon, Norah, Kase, Addilyn; brothers, George (Su) Barber, Michael (Barb) Barber, Frank (Vicki) Barber; sisters, Jackie Back, Beverly (Fred) Micomonaco, Pam (Bob) Brake, Pat (David) Hartwig; brother-in- law, George Birch and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Birch; brother, Burton "Butch" Barber; sister, Cheryl Ann Barber.
