News Death Notice HALLBERG, Lennox Jane-Marie Earned her angel wings while in the arms of her parents on Sunday, June 21, 2015. During her short ten days on Earth she touched many lives and was deeply loved by family and friends. Her journey and life was a brief gift to us that will live on with her footprints she left on our hearts and her twin brother Lochlan. She is survived by her parents, Jessica and Darrell Hallberg (OH), siblings; twin brother Lochlan and brother Declan, grandparents; John and Rose Hallberg (SC), Mike and Sharon Ernst (MI), great grandfather James van Buren (SC), uncle Jason van Buren (DC), uncle and aunt Jonathan and Meagan Tufts (SC), and many other family members and friends. HAMILTON, Gary R.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice HAMILTON, Gary R. Age 62 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 17, 1953, the son of Billy G. and Marjorie (Atkins) Hamilton. Gary worked as a press operator and fork lift operator for General Motors for thirty years. Survivors include two children, Michael W. Hamilton of Fairfield and Michelle L. (Jeff) Post of Springboro, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Barbara Brown, Beverly Lester, Sharon Miller, Bill and Tony Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Paul Marcum officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. HARRIS, Vida Ilene* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice HARRIS, Vida Ilene Age 91 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born on March 19, 1924 in Clinton County, KY, the daughter of the late William W. and Stella C. (Conner) Davis. Vida was a 1943 graduate of Berea High School. On December 18, 1943 in Newport, KY, she married her husband of over 65 years, Robert Harris, and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2009. Vida is survived by her daughter, Jean (Lee) Michalsky; step-daughter, Carolyn Sue Eynon; siblings, Gene (Ruth) Conner, Douglas (Carolyn) Conner and Janice (Charles) Kemp; sister-in-law, Martha Conner; brother-in-law, Alton Copeland; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Herbert Davis, Jimmie Conner, Bonnie (Hubert) Wilson, Mildred (Elmer) Gross, Ida (Minor) Workman and Virginia Copeland. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. News Death Notice HARRISON, Samuel Age 23 passed away in Fairfield on Tuesday June 30, 2015. He was born August 27, 1991 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Taulby and Diana (Brockman) Harrison. Sam was ambitious, kind hearted, full of life, dedicated, and optimistic. Everyone who knew Sam loved him; he was passionate about boxing and excited about where that was going to take him in life. He is survived by his parents Taulby and Diana Harrison; his siblings Mary Kay Steeves, Nick (Sara) Harrison, and James Harrison; the love of his life Kayla Jackson; his nephews Alec and Finn Steeves, Caleb Fishwick, Hunter Harrison; his nieces Jenna and Laney Harrison; his aunts Cheryl Comstock, Sandy Brockman, Brenda (Don) Dickey, Terri (Jerry) Bauer, Patty (Mike) Tincher; his uncles Bill (Nancy) Harrison and Greg Harrison. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends. Samuel also leaves behind "his fella" Nato. He was preceded in death by his cousin Jamie Brockman and his grandparents. HENRY, Theresa Marie* - Beavercreek  
News Death Notice HENRY, Theresa Marie 84, was called up to bat in the big leagues of Heaven on July 1, 2015 in Xenia, Ohio where she lived most of her life. She was born and came to Clarence and Esther Seeman in 1930 and spent her early life in Franklin Ohio. She graduated from Franklin High school as a member of the class of 1948. Very early on, as a child, she met Donald Henry and they remained close friends until the beginning of their 63 year marriage on February 25, 1952. Over the next 18 years, she gave birth to seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Esther Seeman and her eldest son Michael (Vickie) Henry in 2008. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald E. Henry; Cindy (Michael) Belcher of El Paso, TX; Patrick (Mary) Henry of Springfield, OH; Timothy (Debbie) Henry of Martinsville, OH; Amy (Michael) Scheld of Tampa, Fl.; Sean (Connie) Henry of Jamestown, OH and Erin (Robert Lowe) Henry of Beavercreek, OH; 19 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren. On Monday July 6, 2015, a celebration of Theresa's life will begin at noon and continue till 3pm in an Open House setting for family and friends at The Legacy Community Room, 1201 Livingston Lane, Xenia, OH 45385. HERR, Margaret Jean* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice HERR, Margaret Jean "Peggy" Age 67, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Peggy was the wife of John Figurel and the second of four children born to Jacob and Jean Herr in Cincinnati, OH. After attending Mother of Mercy High School, she earned her undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Peggy practiced social work in Pittsburgh for many years, until opening her own fabric shop. In 1995, she and John moved to Hamilton, Ohio, where she opened another fabric shop, "Choir Loft Fabrics," and began to sell collectors' books, a passion that kept her busy long after the fabric shop closed. Known by family and friends for her loving spirit and sense of compassion, she had a deep-dimpled smile and a whimsical sense of humor that warmed the hearts of everyone around her. Peggy is survived by her husband; her mother; her brother, Michael Herr; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father; her sister, Mary Jo Camillus; and her brother, Martin Herr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Cullen Hall in Westover Retirement Community, 855 Stahlheber Road, Hamilton, OH 45013. HODGE Jr., Jasper A.* - Morgan Township  
News Death Notice HODGE, Jr., Jasper A. Age 87, a fifty year resident of Morgan Township, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Alois Alzheimers Center. He was born on April 22, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Jasper and Mae (Durham) Hodge. He graduated from Hartwell High School. On August 5, 1950, he married Greta Keeton in West Chester, Ohio and together they raised three children. He was employed by Proctor and Gamble, Ivorydale as an electrician for 41 years, retiring in 1988. Jasper also enjoyed being a part time farmer on his farm in Morgan Township. He was a member of Carthage Lodge F&AM and a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Hamilton. Surviving Jasper are his wife, Greta Hodge; three children, Glenn (Rhonda) Hodge, Kathleen (Leslie) Houser and Mark Hodge; five grandchildren, Anthony (Nicole) Hodge, Brian Hodge, Laura (Joel) Ruschman, David Houser, and Ethan Houser; three step grandchildren, Ciara, Cody, and Chloe Willis; two great grandchildren, Jasmine and Aubryana; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Albert and Russell Hodge. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Wednesday evening, July 1, 2015 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following in New London Cemetery, Shandon, Ohio. News Death Notice HODGES (Sherman), Alladean Mae Age 84, passed away June 25, 2015 in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born May 4, 1931 in Laurel County Kentucky. She leaves her husband of 68 years, John D. Hodges. They had four children: Donna, deceased, Etta (Dave) Proffitt, Rob (Hilda) Hodges and Debby (Tim) Hacker, six grandchildren: Robert Hodges Jr, deceased, Sean (Stacy) Jones, Amber (Craig) Koger, Chris (Monica) Hacker, Dr. Laura (Scott) Arnold and Kyle (Kristi) Hodges, eight great-grandchildren: Taylor and Sam Jones, Madison and Brady Koger, Branson and Maelyn Arnold, Ava Hacker, and Harper Hodges. She will be remembered for her kindness, compliments and her beautiful Christian spirit. Her children want to acknowledge their Dad for the many years he has cared for his sweetheart while she battled Alzheimer disease. His love has no limits. The family thanks the staff at The Woodlands of Hamilton for the attentive care and heartfelt compassion they have shown to the entire family along with gratitude to Hospice of SW Ohio for their support in the final days. HURLEY, Mary Lou* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice HURLEY, Mary Lou Age 82 of Hamilton passed away Friday June 26, 2015 at Hawthorn Glen. She was born August 10, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Antoinette Fatika Scoles and Fred Wetzer. She married Clyde Hurley in January, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1978. Mrs. Hurley worked for many years at Ohio Casualty Insurance in Hamilton. She was an avid quilter who was also fond of gardening, and enjoyed the company of handicapped bowlers. She was a long time member of the West Side Baptist Church where she served for many years as the church librarian. She is survived by her son Doug (Sheryl) Hurley; her two daughters Debbie Hurley and Mary Beth Boggs; three grandchildren Eric (Lerin) Boggs, Michelle (Josh) Babb, and Amanda (Nick) Richards; great grandchildren Alex, Austin, and Alexa Babb, and Jayce Richards; her brother Joe (Arletta) Reumann and several cousins. Mrs. Hurley was also preceded in death by her sister Rosemarie (the late Frank) Arlinghaus, her in laws Tom and Lela Hurley, step father Bud Scoles, and her son in law Russ Boggs.
