WALKER, Bruce*  
News Death Notice WALKER, Bruce Age 70, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Bruce was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 9, 1946 to the late Richard and Marian Walker. Bruce was a 1964 graduate of Mason H.S. He retired from Carlisle Local Schools in 1995 after 27 years as a mathematics teacher as well as a basketball, golf and track coach. He was a mentor to students in their academics, life skills and development of their faith in God. He was a long-time member of the New Jersey Presbyterian Church. Bruce loved learning new skills and then teaching these skills to others. He enjoyed playing games, especially bridge, with his friends and family. He also performed as a stage actor in local theater productions. Upon retirement, Bruce and Sue enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Bruce will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his loyalty and devotion to others. Bruce was a faithful, loving man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sue (Paris) Walker; daughters, Alyson (Matthew) Anderson and Kristie (Scott) Thompson; grandchildren, Helen, Claire, Quinn, Rowan and Shea; brothers, Thomas and Donald (Gerry) Walker; many nieces and nephews and dear friend, Ernie Dalton. A celebration of Bruce's life will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Chautauqua Park Auditorium, 9985 Camp Trail, Miamisburg 45342 with the Rev. Rob Fulton officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, OH. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been created in his memory. News Death Notice WALTERS, Charles Of Hamilton, Oh went home to our Lord on June 17 after an extended illness with Alzheimer's. He was born January 29, 1928 in Harold, KY. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, parents, sister, and granddaughter, He is survived by Madge, his devoted wife of 65 years, daughters Andrea (Mike) Moorehead and Jan (Tom) Edgerton, five grandchildren, four great-grandsons, three brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. After serving in the Army, Charles graduated from Transylvania University where he was an outstanding scholar and athlete. He played on the "All Kentucky" basketball team. Mr. Walters was a high school math teacher and coach beginning his career at New Miami and retiring as head of the math department from Greenhills - Forest Park. He would be the first to tell you that "Math is the most important subject you'll learn. You use it every day!" He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton serving in many ways including deacon and Sunday School teacher. He dearly loved his church family. He was passionate about sports and enjoyed coaching and participating as long as he was able. He was a member of a softball team that went to the National Senior Olympics. He was a gifted "handyman" and used his skills to help others and also help build his home. If something broke, his grandchildren always said, "Give it to Granddad. He'll fix it!" The family would like to give special thanks to the ladies who gave him extraordinary care in his home and treated him with loving kindness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Hamilton 1501 Pyramid Hill 45013. Visitation will be 10-11am prior to the funeral and Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00 pm at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to First Baptist Church of Hamilton or One Way Farm in Fairfield.

News Death Notice YATER, Dorothy Mary Age 90 of Fairfield, passed away on Monday June 20, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 19, 1926 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Harry A. and Mary (Whitcomb) Graves. On January 11, 1947 she married Kenneth Harold Yater and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2003. Dorothy is survived by her three children, Douglas (Carol) Yater, Dwayne (Margaret) Yater and Jackie Yater; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. News Death Notice YOUNG, Margaret C. Passed away at home, June 19th at the age of 96. She is survived by her loving family Gary and his wife Karen (Simpson), Sharma and her partner Tom Hendrix, Richard and Scott Young, and Jane Hardebeck, all of Hamilton, Jim and his wife Sharon (Buffler) of Lufkin, Texas, Dan and Jean Castleberry of Iowa, Van Castleberry and Kathy Apple of Cincinnati, Brenda Loman from Hamilton, and many loving grandchildren, great- grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, George Young and many beloved family and friends. Born in Hardin, Kentucky in 1919, to Rev. VB and Pocohontas Castleberry, Margaret developed a love for travelling at an early age with a trip on a steamer ship from New York to Brazil when she was just 4 years old. She then spent the rest of her life travelling around the world and throughout the United States, finally getting to China at the age of 80. Margaret was a lifelong teacher as well. She taught aeronautics and math during World War II and then changed to her favorite teaching assignment which was Kindergarten in Hamilton Public Schools until her retirement. She was a frequent speaker in town and taught Sunday School well into her 90's. A visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd. Hamilton 45011. Funeral Service will be 12pm Thursday at the funeral home.
