News Death Notice

MARCUM, Anna Marie age 87 of Hamilton passed away Saturday January 11, 2014 in her home. She was born February 1, 1926 in New Zion, Kentucky the daughter of the late Farris and Nannie (Griffin) Marcum. She was married to Ted Marcum and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Marcum worked for many years as a secretary for attorneys in Hamilton. Her focus was her family and she had a deep concern for the homeless or anyone in need. She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and cook. For the last part of her life Laveda and Todd Schultheiss, Wanda Hall, and Douglas Marcum were her constant caregivers. Mrs. Marcum is survived by her children Wanda Hall, Gary (Wanda) Gray, Ronnie (Donna) Gray, Randall (Cathy) Gray, Doug Marcum, Jerry Marcum, Valerie (Joe) Chanstang, Teddy (Sandy) Marcum, and Christine Prenant; three foster children Gerald Marcum, Derrick Marcum, and Ray Grundy; 29 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons Kenny Hurst, Dennis Marcum, and Larry Gray. Visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday January 15, 2014 at the funeral home, with Rev. Paul Marcum and Rev. Jesse Combs, officiating. Burial to follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
