News Death Notice

LOWMAN, Jr., George age 85, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born March 19, 1929 in Franklin, OH to George and Lucy (Cox) Lowman. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He worked in the shipping department for Armco Steel Company. George was a member of Grace Baptist Church. George is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma J. Lowman; sons, Mike (Pam) Lowman of Georgetown, David (Tammy) Lowman of Middletown; daughters, Janet Hogan of Camden, Emily (Chris) Latham of Trenton; grandchildren, Jessica Lowman, Paul and Chris Hogan, Brandon Latham, Nicole Adams; great-grandchild, Mya Hogan; son-in-law, Bernard Rodgers; daughter-in-law, Diana Lowman of Batavia. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell Lowman; daughter, Anita Adams; brothers, Bill, John and Vernon Lowman; sister, Virginia Cox. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Denny officiating. Interment will be at Germantown Cemetery.
